為什麼要找專業醫生做？第一，專業醫生可以準確地判斷墨痣是否良性。如果把一個皮膚癌，當做一個良性的墨症，用激光脫的話，這個皮膚癌可能會一路擴散，越變越大，甚至會擴散至其他器官引致生命危險。
第二，根部比較深的墨痣（請留意：根部深的墨痣，有時候外部看起來並不十分大或深色），傷口會比較深，可能需要一些特別的護理程序，更大更深的墨痣，傷口可能要縫針。這些比較深的傷口，醫美經驗醫生的處理，絕對好過一般美容院。若果傷口處理不當，發現感染，這些疤痕隨時比起之前那一粒細小的墨痣更加難看。這更加是得不償失。
第三，所謂經驗的治療師的「經驗」及「學歷」根本難以確定及認證。
